1. Who we are

beam is a WhatsApp Business marketing platform available at usebeam.app. We help businesses send WhatsApp marketing campaigns to their contacts via Meta's WhatsApp Business API.

2. Data collected

  • Account data : Name, email address, and organization name collected at sign-up.
  • Contact data : Phone numbers and metadata (name, custom fields) imported by you for your WhatsApp campaigns.
  • WhatsApp integration data : WhatsApp Business Account ID, Phone Number ID, and access tokens obtained during Meta Embedded Signup connection.
  • Message data : Content and delivery status of messages sent through our platform.
  • Usage data : Logs, timestamps, and analytics related to your use of the platform.

3. How we use your data

  • Provide and operate the beam platform.
  • Send WhatsApp messages on your behalf via Meta's WhatsApp Business API.
  • Display campaign analytics and message delivery reports.
  • Communicate with you about your account and our service.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We only share it with the following third parties, required for the service to function:

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. : Sending WhatsApp messages via the Business API.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) : Data hosting and storage (eu-west-3 region, Paris).
  • Vercel Inc. : Web application delivery.

5. Data retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to processing, and to request data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us through the demo page.

7. WhatsApp opt-out

Contacts who receive WhatsApp messages via beam can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. We will process opt-out requests promptly and no further messages will be sent.

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Sensitive credentials are stored encrypted via AWS SSM Parameter Store with KMS encryption. We do not retain WhatsApp message content longer than necessary.
